Battle of Nesjar (1016) was fought by king Olaf Haraldsson (Saint Olaf) against Svein Jarl (Earl). King Olaf had a head of a king carved out in the prow of his ship, and he tied his ship to the ship of the earl. The men of the king were well equipped with helmets with a white cross, and their banner was white with the head of a drake on a golden stick.
