What a cute little crouching lemming. From the Family Muridae. They are native Scandinavian woodland creatures. The lemming is quite rotund with short legs. Their ears are almost covered by their fur coat and the eyes are small. Lemmings can reach 7 inches long. They weigh about 7 ounces. They are active by night and do not hibernate. Lemmings eat grass, lichens and roots.
